2008 Birthday Bash Rocked - Thanks to YOU!

Thanks to everyone who joined us for our third annual benefit dinner and dance on Friday, September 26 at the Arcata Community Center. We enjoyed yet another incredible night of dining, dancing, and celebrating our coastal waters with the people who make Bay protection come to life - that means YOU!

This year's event will featured Alaskan Copper River salmon - a fabulous silent auction and benefit drawing with incredible prizes - the third annual Waterkeeper of the Year award presentation - dancing to the sounds of the West African Highlife Band - and much more!

Menu by Hurricane Kate's included:

• Wild Alaskan Salmon with Citrus Beurre Blanc, Angel Hair Pasta with Local Sun-Gold Tomatoes, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Basil, and Capers;
• Grilled Humboldt Grassfed New York Steaks with Cabernet Reduction Demi Glace and Truffle Butter, Potato-Cypress Grove Chevre Croquettes, Sautéed Local Organic Farmer’s Market Vegetables; or
• Organic Neukom Family Farm’s beloved Winter Squash, Eggplant, and Peppers in a Coconut Tomato-Curry Sauce, Over Aromatic Yellow Basmati Rice Pullao, with Potato and Pea Stuffed Parathas and Stone Fruit, Coconut, and Mint Chutney
