DescriptionThe California Coastal Trail is a network of public trails along the 1200-mile California coastline. Sections of Coastal Trail have been designated through parts of Humboldt County, including the King Range, Redwood National Park, Patrick's Point State Park, and the Hammond Trail. The goal is to complete the multiuse trail along the Humboldt County coastline. For more information and the opportunity to voice your interest in trails and coastal access, please attend one of the public workshops in April. Public Workshops
Help plan the Coastal Trail through your community at a series of workshops from Petrolia to Orick, all from 6:30 to 8:00 pm:
Wed. April 7...........Petrolia (Mattole Elementary) Mon. April 12.........Orick (CSD Hall, 101 Swan Rd.) Tues. April 13........Ferndale (Town Hall, 834 Main St.) Wed. April 14.........Eureka (Wharfinger Building, 1 Marina Way) Thurs. April 15.......Trinidad (Town Hall, 409 Trinity St.)
A presentation on the Coastal Trail will begin at 6:30 with an open house from 7-8 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. Draft maps of the Humboldt Coastal Trail and additional information will be posted during the open house with many opportunities for public input.
