Want to get involved in a great community of people who care about Humboldt Bay? Become a Baykeeper volunteer!

Volunteers are the heart of Humboldt Baykeeper - it is only through the efforts of people like you that we can be an effective force for clean water and a healthy coast. Plus, volunteering with Baykeeper is fun! Contact us today to join our Volunteer Network and help us with projects such as:

Office Help - Staff the storefront in Old Town during the week and for Arts Alive! each month; Help with mailings and other administrative work.

Outreach Team - Represent Baykeeper at community events such as Godwit Days (April), Organic Planet Festival (August), and the North Country Fair (September).

Water Quality Monitoring - Join our growing team of Citizen Monitors to track water quality on and off the water on Coastal Snapshot Day (May), for First Flush (fall TBD), and throughout the year.

Bridge Brigade - Take a bite out of grime with our regular cleanups of the Samoa Bridge landings, all equipment provided! 10am-noon on July 19, September 13, and November 15, 2008.

Birthday Bash - Help plan our annual benefit event and/or volunteer on the big night, September 26, 2008 at the Arcata Community Center!
